Building Bridges to Immigrant Families
|
When we hear the word "immigration", most of us immediately think of the increasing Hispanic population in the U. S. However, immigrant populations are also arriving from Asia and other areas where war, famine, poverty, and natural disasters have created hostile environments. As immigration continues to increase and the U. S. becomes even more diverse, the Child Support Enforcement Program needs to be prepared and positioned to build bridges to the newest Americans - the Immigrant Families. This session will focus on developing outreach and effective communication strategies as well as the development of partnerships between the Child Support Enforcement Program and increasingly diverse immigrant families.
